The Art of Elysium | www.theartofelysium.org

The Art of Elysium is dedicated to enriching the lives of artists and critically ill children. It is founded on the belief that there is a powerful and mutual exchange of hope and appreciation that occurs when artists share their time and talent with children battling serious medical conditions. The non profit provides artistic workshops in acting, art, comedy, fashion, music, radio, songwriting and creative writing.

In 2007, The Art of Elysium provided creative arts workshops free of charge to 18,000 children in the Los Angeles area. Currently, The Art of Elysium is not annually funded; visit their website to see how you can help.

“The purest thing in the world is a child's happiness, and to work with an organization that gives that back to children who have lost it means more than words can say.”

Massai Wilderness Conservation Trust | www.maasaitrust.org

The mission of the Maasai Wilderness Conservation Trust is to support the preservation of biodiversity within the Maasai tribal lands of East Africa. Funds support conservation, education and health services within the Maasai community as well as a host of programs designed to conserve Africa's legendary wildlife.

In December 2008, actor Edward Norton signed the Dewar's Signature Book of Expressions at the Maasai Wilderness Conservation Fund event at Christie's Auction House in New York. The Dewar's Signature Book of Expressions is currently circulating among Hollywood elite, to which Dewar's has pledged to donate to the Maasai Wilderness Conservation Fund for every signature received.

“Africa is one of the most incredible continents in the world, and one that I have studied since I was a child. The thought of my children not knowing Africa as it is, but having to hear about it as it once was, is not a thought I can bear. The MWCF is preserving not only a region, but a culture, a way of life, and an ecosystem that we cannot afford to lose.”
